On this incredible two-and-a-half hour lecture coach Pfaff describes in detail his system and philosophy for training the power / speed events. The disc is broken down into two main topics: Training Theory and Chronic Loading. Training Theory covers such concepts as the development of biomotor qualities, the development of work capacity, the development of aerobic conditioning through speed / power work schemes, and individual approaches to the prescription of these principles. In Chronic Loading, Coach Pfaff examines two phenomena common to speed / power programs: Chronic Overloading Syndrome and Acute Relieving Syndrome. As well, the disc covers periodization concepts, stabilization and actualization in training design, flexibility and therapy issues and competitive cycle planning, among many other ideas unique to coach Pfaff’s training philosophy.
