Run, Jump, Throw

Run, Jump, Throw (RJT) is Athletics Canada's grassroots program promoting physical activity for children and youth age 7 to 12. It can be implemented in schools, clubs and communities across Canada. Certified RJT instructors help develop fundamental motor skills for running, jumping and throwing through lessons that focus on skill acquisition, sport education, and participatory/team competition. Children who learn fundamental running, jumping and throwing movement skills through track & field acquire a strong foundation for success in all other sports and physical activities. Run, Jump, Throw can be integrated for development at all levels including participants with special needs and athletes with disabilities.

In partnership with Athletics Canada, The Canadian Athletics Coaching Centre will help in the business development and implementation of the Run, Jump, Throw program while simultaneously activating RJT initiatives at the local, provincial and national levels. Through this partnership, both Athletics Canada and The Canadian Athletics Coaching Centre strive to improve the physical fitness of the youth across the nation and cultivating the next generation of Canadian athletes.
