This presentation examines sprinting mechanics from start to finish. The first half of the lecture is a general discussion on using biomechanical principles in training sprinters while the second half is a focused discussion on sprinting technique. Topics include: How to assessment physical movement, the importance of proper mechanics, review of basic biomechanical principles, using technical models vs. individual peculiarities, assessing symmetry of movement, making biomechanical adjustments in training, the relationship between mechanics and physical training and a detailed discussion on sprint technique (block, acceleration, transition and maximum velocity mechanics). As per the “terms of use”, each video purchased is valid for 10 views and/or 60 days.
