At the 2011 Golden Bear Open indoor competition in Edmonton, Alberta, the CACC and University of Alberta’s Dr. Loren Chiu collaborated on this biomechanical study of the Open Women’s Long Jump. The results of this study are helpful in analyzing important technical parameters across a spectrum of performers and jumping distances. Also included is a biomechanical comparison of the series from the winning performer, an elite level athlete. Coaching recommendations are provided in the report’s summary.
